    Suspension-type insulators for high-voltage overhead power transmission and distribution lines provide insulation and secure fixation of conductors. They are typically assembled into strings for use in different voltage levels. Insulators are categorized into ordinary and pollution-resistant types based on their usage environment. Ordinary insulators are suitable for general areas, and increasing the number of insulator disks can enhance pollution flashover performance. Pollution-resistant insulators are classified into three types based on their umbrella-shaped structure: cap type, double umbrella type, and triple umbrella type. Pollution-resistant insulators are suitable for industrial dust, chemical industry, saline-alkali areas, coastal regions, and foggy areas. The optimal application range of pollution-resistant insulators with different structural types needs to be determined through trial pre-operation and summarization.+ View

    High-voltage pin-type insulators are mainly used for insulation and support of conductors in high-voltage overhead transmission lines. They are categorized into five levels based on rated voltage: 6, 10, 15, 20, and 35 KV. Pin-type insulators consist of porcelain pieces and steel feet (or threaded sleeves) bonded together with silicate cement.
